Capricorn and Sagittarius
Are Capricorn and Sagittarius compatible?
Sagittarius treats a plan as a starting point — subject to revision the moment a better option appears. Capricorn treats a plan as a commitment — revising it without strong cause is a failure of discipline and a breach of agreement. These two sit adjacent on the zodiac and share almost no operating assumptions about how time, effort, and promises should be managed.
Where it works
Capricorn can build what Sagittarius envisions, which means the pair can move from raw idea to executed result in ways neither manages as reliably alone. Sagittarius pushes Capricorn past excessive caution; Capricorn prevents Sagittarius from abandoning a project at eighty percent complete when a new horizon appears. The combination of ambition and follow-through is real when both are functioning well.
Where it grinds
The chronic argument is about what the word 'commitment' actually means. Sagittarius understands it as fidelity to the spirit of the aim — course corrections are legitimate, even necessary. Capricorn understands it as fidelity to what was specifically agreed — changing the terms mid-route is a failure of character. Sagittarius experiences Capricorn's rigidity as a cage; Capricorn experiences Sagittarius's improvisations as disrespect for the original terms.
