Sagittarius and Aries
Are Sagittarius and Aries compatible?
Aries and Sagittarius are both fire signs ruled by planets that reward action — Mars for Aries, Jupiter for Sagittarius — but where Aries runs toward a specific target, Sagittarius runs toward the horizon in general. The pair tends to produce genuine enthusiasm and momentum; the friction comes not from opposition but from two different relationships to follow-through.
Where it works
At their best, Aries and Sagittarius are the pair that actually does the thing everyone else only talks about: the trip gets booked, the business gets launched, the argument gets had openly rather than festering. Sagittarius broadens Aries's sense of what's worth pursuing; Aries gives Sagittarius a concrete goal to aim at instead of perpetually expanding the scope. They rarely bore each other.
Where it grinds
Aries wants to win; Sagittarius wants to explore — and those are not the same objective. When Aries commits to a plan, it expects Sagittarius to commit to the same plan; Sagittarius sees commitment to any single course as a ceiling on possibility. Aries grows impatient with Sagittarius's habit of pivoting mid-project toward something new; Sagittarius chafes against Aries's competitive framing of what should be, in Sagittarius's view, a shared adventure rather than a race.
