Full Moon — Astrology glossary
A Full Moon occurs when the Sun and Moon sit opposite each other in the zodiac, so the Moon is fully lit from Earth's view. It marks the peak of the lunar cycle. In a natal chart, being born near a Full Moon places Sun and Moon in opposing signs, setting conscious purpose against emotional need and often producing a person who feels pulled between two poles. It matters because that built-in tension can show up as a lifelong negotiation between what someone wants and what they feel. For example, a Full Moon birth across the Aries-Libra axis can mean constantly balancing self-assertion with the pull toward others. Astrologers also read Full Moons in the sky as moments of culmination and visible results.
